Outgoing Deputy Prime Minister of Kosovo Slobodan Petrovic condemned the attack on the parochial house in Serbian part of Orahovac/Rahovec and all incidents in Kosovo which followed after the football match between Serbia and Albania was abolished.

“Everything that took place is only an indicator that situation in Kosovo is still fragile, despite the fact that much time has been invested in reconciliation,” Petrovic said.

The Mayor of North Mitrovica Goran Rakic said that incidents that took place following the same match are showing that Albanian community hasn’t make much of a progress in tolerance and readiness for coexistence in the region, and that it is ‘ready to cause and use violence in Kosovo and wider’.

“Flying the flag of so called ethnic Albania during the match of the high risk is pushing a finger into eyes of all Serbs in the region,” Rakic said and assessed that neither football players nor Albanian supporters have come to Belgrade for the sake of football game, but to provoke reaction of Serbs and Serbia. “The project of so called ‘Great Albania’, as we could see last night, is not dead”, concluded Rakic.
