Minister Rexhepi is not informed what his police is doing or intentionally wants to shift blame on monks and KFOR, said the Abbot of Decani Monastery father Sava referring to Rexhepi’s statement that KFOR had prevented investigation in Decani monastery.
Rexhepi voiced doubts in a statement to RTV KIM that someone from the Decani Monastery has written the threatening messages on the monastery’s walls and that KFOR allegedly didn’t allow investigation to be carried out inside the Monastery. “As the Abbot of Visoki Decani monastery I feel an obligation to confute this shocking and irresponsible statement made by the Minister Rexhepi, first of all because it is not based on facts,” stressed father Sava.
Father Sava assessed that either Rexhepi is not informed about the work of police in case of Decani monastery or it is about the political campaign, aimed at shifting the blame on monks from Decani Monastery and KFOR. “In any case the media appearance of the Minister of the Interior is not leading toward building the trust between the Serbian Orthodox Church and Kosovo institutions,” concluded father Sava in a statement.
