On Wednesday, Kosovo minister for communities and return Dalibor Jevtic discussed with representatives of the OSCE Human Rights and Communities Department about the return as well as the joint efforts regarding organization of a regional conference for IDPs, which is to be held during the second half of November in Skopje.

“Following the positive signals that we received from key international actors and regional governments, the successful return of Roma IDPs from Montenegro and the Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia is underway”, Jevtic underlined.

“The OSCE representatives said that this was a positive move forward and that they expect a successful conference for solution of IDP issues”, reads a press release issued by the ministry.

Kosovo minister of communities and return Dalibor Jevtic visited Dërsnik village of Klinë/Klina, where the house of a Serb returnee was burned down on Tuesday night.

Upon arrival to Dërsnik, minister Jevtic initially talked to local inhabitants about this incident. He also talked to Klinë/Klina deputy mayor and local police station commander.

“Unfortunately, we are here again for vandal acts. Once again, we come to the conclusion that innocent people are suffering. I will request from the police to better the operative plan in order for people to feel safer,” Jevtic said.

“We want to know who the perpetrators of such acts are and who set the fire to this house, same as the reason why. The house burned down here in Dërsnik is a consequence of the aggravated situation created following Serbia-Albania football match. It is a pity that the least guilty ones are being damaged”, he added.

Police commander Rexhë Berisha said that they will coordinate their efforts with local inhabitants to prevent such incidents.

Ministry for communities and return reported that unidentified persons have set fire to a Serb house in Llugë village of Istog/Istok municipality on Tuesday night.

Minister for communities and return Dalibor Jevtic said that the burning down of a second Serb house within the last three days has jeopardized security situation in Kosovo.

Furthermore, Jevtic pointed out the need to do something urgently, or, as he said, similar incidents will continue to occur. According to Jevtic, their reoccurrence would have serious and irreparable consequences for the Serb community in Kosovo.

Haradinaj responds to Doris Pack

Former German member of the European Parliament Doris Pack said that the one that wins only 10 per cent of the electorate does not have the basis to request Prime Minister’s post of a country, while she wants to see PDK and LDK jointly in the Government.

However, to Ramush Haradinaj, the former EUMP Pack seems to have partial information regarding the current situation in Kosovo. Haradinaj said that he was nominated for this post by 63 MPs, and this is enough to explain who he represents.

In the meantime, Haradinaj expressed his surprise with negative response that President Atifete Jahjaga gave to minorities. He confirmed that they will address the Court during this week.

The seventeen minority community MPs are also disappointed with the President.

“As a matter of fact, we are dissatisfied with President Jahjaga’s response, because in this case we considered her as a facilitator between minorities and the Constitutional Court. We also believed that she would address our request to the Constitutional Court and ultimately clarify Point 127. Our goal was to be impartial, respect the laws, the Constitution and solve everything democratically,” Duda Balje of “Six Plus” caucus said.

She said that they will discuss other actions that they will undertake as minority MPs to solve the current political deadlock.

The European Union Special Representative (EUSR) in Kosovo Samuel Zbogar commented Doric Pack’s statement.

“Former members of the European Parliament do not represent the European Commission” Zbogar said briefly in a pronouncement for Kallxo.com portal.
