Two masked persons have attacked a Kosovo police officer Caslav Ilic (35) from North Mitrovica this morning and stabbed him several times in the stomach.

Ilic was admitted at Mitrovica hospital and Kontakt Plus radio learned that his condition is not life-threatening.
The attack took place this morning, a few minutes before 08:00 in the vicinity of students’ dormitories in North Mitrovica, when two masked persons approached Ilic and one of them stabbed him several times with a knife.

Ilic’ brother Milan told journalists that he suspects ‘the leadership of the police in Mitrovica North region’ is behind the attack.
