(Most monitored broadcasters, RTK2&KTV)

Democratic Party of Kosovo (PDK) responded negatively to VLAN Bloc’s requests for calling the Assembly’s constitutive session. PDK says that as winner of elections it will be included in the new government by all means.

PDK Secretary General Basri Musmurati said Kosovo shall overcome the current political crisis by next week. He believes that one of the political parties, part of VLAN Bloc, will join PDK.

To do this, Musmurati says that PDK will wait until leaders’ meeting with the President and then it will send official invitations to political parties.

While the Bloc aims to form government in case it manages to maintain its unity, Jakup Krasniqi of Nisma për Kosovën called on coalition partners to be careful with their statements. Krasniqi requested from coalition partners not to speak individually about Prime Minister’s post.

Krasniqi said that Prime Minister will come from VLAN coalition. He said that everyone must understand that the joint objective is to have a different government. He said that political parties joined the bloc not for the sake of individuals, but rather for citizens’ interest.

In the meantime, AAK official Avni Arifi told RTK2 that nothing has changed from the initial agreement that Bloc had.

Through a press release issued, the European Union Rule of Law Mission (EULEX) said that an international judge rejected as ungrounded the requests by the defence to dismiss the indictment filed with the Mitrovica Basic Court against five Serb defendants.

Although it was not clearly explained in the press release, it is clear that this is related to Serb politician from the north, Oliver Ivanovic, and four other defendants.

EULEX press release adds that three defendants are accused of aggravated and attempted aggravated murder, whereas the other two defendants are accused of the incitement to commit these crimes. Furthermore, one defendant is accused of war crimes.

The defence has five days to appeal the court’s ruling, TV21 reported.

Two hundred fifty families to be returned in the coming 30 months

(RTK2)

EU Office in Kosovo together with the Ministry of communities and return as well as representatives of several beneficiary municipalities, started new phase of the return and reintegration program in Kosovo, which envisages return of 250 families in the coming 30 months.

“Return and reintegration program is one of the most important projects that the Ministry implements in cooperation with EU. I would like to express our gratitude to our friends from EU for helping us in making another step toward ensuring a significant number of returns in Kosovo through this new phase of the project,” Kosovo minister of communities and return Dalibor Jevtic said.

The project will be implemented in seven municipalities; Pejë/Pec, Istog/Istok, Klinë/Klina, Obiliq/Obilic, Strpce/Shtërpcë, Suharekë/Suva Reka and Gjilan/Gnjilane.

The European Union allocated four million Euros for this phase, while the Ministry allocated two million. Until today, the EU allocated over 55 million Euros for minority communities throughout Kosovo.

Zogiani: Attack was not ethnically motivated

(TV21, Klan Kosova)

A group of Roma community youth from a street in Fushë Kosovë/Kosovo Polje showed to be quite violent on Tuesday night. Under the influence of alcohol they beat up the owner of a local store, who refused to keep it open for some more hours than allowed. Owner of the store did not accept to speak in front of Klan Kosova’s camera.

However, owner of the local store was not the only one that got beaten up. Vehicle of Avni Zogiani, Vetëvendosje’s candidate in last general elections, was also a target of their attack. Zogiani also refused to speak in front of the camera; nonetheless, he wrote a status on his personal Facebook account regarding this incident.

Zogiani denied that the attack was directed against him individually, or that the attack was ethnically motivated. He considers this as an act of a group of hooligans, who blocked the road that he passes each day.

According to Kosovo Police spokesperson Agron Borovci, the same group of people also clashed physically among them and that a number of them were arrested.
