Avni Arifi, adviser to the leader of the Alliance for the Future of Kosovo (AAK,) said that it is early to say if AAK would make a coalition with the Democratic League of Kosovo (PDK,) if the coalition block does not nominate Ramush Haradinaj for Prime Minister of Kosovo.
“AAK will not accept Haradinaj’s dismissal from the candidate of the coalition block for Prime Minister, despite the request of the Democratic League of Kosovo (LDK,) to change the agreement reached on 9 June (which foresees AAK leader to be nominated for the PM.) If LDK continues to insist to replace Haradinaj with Mustafa, we will return at point zero, or better to say, we will return to 9 June,” said Arifi. According to him, AAK does not accept dismissal of the mandated candidate without a reason, and it does not accept to pay the price for the loss of the post of the Assembly Speaker.
