Chief of the Mitrovica North Administrative Office, Adriana Hodzic, said that the budget expenditures for that municipality, for 2014, amount to four million, as it was planned. Out of the total of four million allocated for Mitrovica North, three million is distributed for salaries and wages, while just over 600,000 for capital investments.
Hodzic said that the budget of the Administrative Office was available to the municipality of North Mitrovica, since the municipal services are provided to the citizens through that office (because there was no official handover of the office to the mayor). “That fact did not disrupt the functioning of the Administrative Office since we have very close cooperation with the Mayor. Everything what was done by the Administrative Office was done with the consent and approval of the Mayor of the Municipality of North Mitrovica,” said Hodzic.
Hodzic said that bearing in mind the Administrative Office did not organize public debates, on which would be discussed capital investment for this year, they have developed other mechanisms, in order to comply with the will of the people: Citizens addressed directly Administrative Office with written requirements for the implementation of capital projects in the city. Each of these projects has a signed petition of citizens who stand behind these demands.
Within the capital investments were renovating of facades and roofs of public buildings in the city, there were projects for the support of economic development, sports activities, sports clubs and projects related to the culture.
