The chairperson of the Executive Council of the Democratic Party of Serbia (DSS), Andrija Mladenovic, paid a visit to North Mitrovica, where he attended a session of the DSS provincial branch and stressed that policy of DSS toward Kosovo issue won’t change.
He announced inclusion of intellectuals from University in North Mitrovica into the National Block led by the DSS, after changes which took place when Sanda Raskovic-Ivic replaced Vojislav Kostunica at the helm of the party. At the same session DSS provincial branch decided to expand the network of municipal branches Kosovo wide.
“Our goal is to expand activities of our party in all municipalities of the Republic of Serbia, whereas the territory of Kosovo and Metohija is of particular importance, bearing in mind the stance of the DSS,” said Mladenovic and added that they will create municipal branches, in the shortest possible period, in all municipalities where they were not present so far.
There are 10 DSS municipal branches in Kosovo and Metohija at the moment, four in Kosovo Pomoravlje (eastern Kosovo) and six in northern Kosovo.
