Community of Serbian municipalities (ZSO) will be formed in the next three to five months, said the Director of the Office for Kosovo and Metohija, Marko Djuric.
Djuric said that the establishment of the ZSO is the focal point of political struggle in Kosovo: “We want that ZSO has the capacity and that in political and any other terms ZSO will provide the Serbs in K&M the opportunity to decide and manage their own matters. We will fight for the creation of the ZSO which we set as point number one in the coalition agreement, to which currently rests Provincial government,” said Djuric.
Djuric said that he expects relations with Pristina should be normalized “to a level that will allow us to function, despite the fact that there is a clear disagreement about the status and position of the Serbs in the province.” “Our position concerning the status of our southern province will never change. We are ready to protect our vital state and national interests in Kosovo and Metohija,” said Djuric.
