“Brussels Agreement reflects the reality which is: the EU understood and accepted the fact that Serbia has not recognized Kosovo’s independence, as well that we have to accept the fact that many states have recognized it,” said Jadranka Joksimovic, Minister for European Integration of Serbia.
She said that the Brussels Agreement was the best possible solution. “Not perfect, but good compared to a policy which resulted in situation that whatever we did was wrong. I think that we created an opportunity to create a framework for the survival and improvement of the life of Serbs in the north of Kosovo through the Association/Community of Serbian municipalities,” she said.
Joksimovic said that the implementation of the agreement is binding also for Pristina. “I wish that citizens understand. Brussels Agreement exists. We have participated in its creation. We will do everything in the interest of our people in the north. To clarify – Brussels Agreement exists because Serbia has not recognized Kosovo” she said.
