Imer Mushkolaj writes in his editorial piece that the Prime Minister of Kosovo, Isa Mustafa, sounded desperate two days ago in his attempts to justify his wide government, with many Deputy Prime Ministers, Ministers, Deputy Ministers and advisers who are being well paid by the poor budget of Kosovo.  “According to Mustafa, those who are criticizing are some “independent” analysts and “specialists on harvesting money from foreign organizations.” His language is similar to the one of the Russian president, whose last name is often used by the militants of LDK’s rival party, currently in the same coalition, when referring to Mustafa,” writes Mushkolaj.  According to him, trying to convince the population that the current government is not too big, is like fighting with the wind. He also advices Mustafa that it is not wise to invent enemies that do not exist in order to justify something. Recalling the time when LDK deputies trumpeted to reduce the number of ministries, Mushkolaj writes that people are not stupid not to know that the number of ministries increased due to the political bargaining between the Democratic League of Kosovo, the Democratic Party of Kosovo and Serbian List.

Mushkolaj considers that Mustafa has started governing in the wrong foot. “During the day when Mustafa was dealing on Facebook with his “enemies,” a Kosovo citizen died from the cold at the border between Serbia and Hungary, while seeking a better life. He was looking for a well-being that Hashim Thaci did not offer, and there is little hope that his descendent would,’ writes Mushkolaj.

Mustafa could not imagine a worse start. The collective contract has not started to implement, trade unions are getting ready for strikes, and salaries cannot increase as Thaci promised. In the meantime, hundreds leave Kosovo each day, while hundreds of thousands promised jobs are not seen in the horizon. Under these circumstances, Mustafa should not focus on inventing “enemies.” The true enemies of his governing are corruption, organized crime, unemployment, poverty, lack of economic development, and not those who raise their voice for better governance. Isa Mustafa does not possess the luxury of dealing with each person that criticizes him, because he has a lot of work to do. If he continues to cover his incapability with empty rhetoric, then loss of his battle is guaranteed, just as he lost his battle of governing in a different manner from Thaci. Just as he will lose other battles for governing together with Thaci, breaking thus his promise,” writes Mushkolaj.

Playing with Albanian national hero Gjergj Kastrioti Skenderbeu’s words “I did not bring you the freedom, I found it among you,” Mushkolaj explains to Mustafa that “We did not bring you the Government, you created it yourself.”
