Bekim Collaku, the Minister of European Integration, today met the working group on visa liberalization. Collaku briefed the relevant institutions on visa liberalization process and was informed on the remaining challenges in this process.  The working group discussed the remaining criteria in the implementation of the roadmap for visa liberalization. “The government of Kosovo has agreed with the European Commission to send a final report on the implementation of the remaining criteria. This report will be sent to the European Commission only when it is estimated that we managed to fulfill all actions and measures foreseen by the strategic documents. So,  when all the remaining criteria are addressed, the report will be send to Brussels , thus paving the way for the European Commission to send an evaluation mission before the start of the EU internal procedures for amending Regulation 539 / 2001, therefore to recommend that Kosovo be included in the list of countries that can travel to the EU without visas,” said Collaku.
