Kosova Sot’s front-page editorial writes that Kosovo has entered a tensioned year, with massive protests, trade union pressure and dissatisfaction of the population. “This is not a surprise. We have reported negative occurrences at the institutions, lack of the rule of law, injustice towards population and decent businesses. People are fed up with this torturing reality, where Government officials consider themselves to be “Gods” while majority have to bear the consequences of one government after another, failing on economic development, state of justice and increase of wellbeing. Explosion of the “social bomb” could have unpredicted consequences. Dismissal or resignation of a single minister is the least evil. If revolt of the population does not stop, then another political crisis, and new parliamentary elections cannot be excluded,” writes this daily, adding further that the current coalition might last until the special court is established.
It is the end of January and the vision of the government for economic development remains unknown, notes the paper, noting that no one is mentioning the election promises any more. According to the editorial, Kosovo has entered a vicious circle, while its image in the world is worsening due to the irresponsible politicians who managed to collect millions for themselves while impoverishing the population. “It is not a coincidence that they consider our state to be caught up by mafia and organized crime,” concludes this daily.
