The Deputy Prime Minister of Kosovo, Branimir Stojanovic, said to KoSSev that yesterday’s violence on the streets of Pristina is a proof of irresponsibility of the Kosovo opposition which misuses the issue of Trepca and the Serbian Minister in the Kosovo government, Aleksandar Jablanovic, as an excuse for trying to overthrow the government.
“I think that this proves the extent to which certain individuals, particularly some opposition leaders, can be irresponsible. They are misusing this situation, whereas Jablanovic and Trepca are only an excuse in order to try to threaten the government. They are expressing and personal frustrations for not being in the government,” said Stojanovic and added that he expects from Kosovo Police and others to do their job and restore the public law and order.
With regards to Jablanovic, position of the Serbian List is that he can resign only if they request him to do so. So far there were no requests from Pristina toward the Serbian List for Jablanovic’s resignation. Minister Jablanovic has been assigned a reinforced security measures following the calls for his resignation,” Stojanovic said.
