– The government has no plan for the property in Kosovo and Metohija – told Fonet president of the Serbian National Party Nenad Popovic, adding that the first step is to impose such an urgent issue in talks with representatives of the international community.

Popovic points out that “we have to protect previous investments of the public enterprises in Kosovo, such as NIS, EPS, JAT, PTT, “Serbian Railways” and “Roads of Serbia”. According to him, it is necessary to “valorise their claims from the period before 1999, which is guaranteed by the UN Security Council resolution.”

He announced that the delegation of the SNP, led by him, travelled to the United States, where he will meet with representatives of the State Department, the Senate and the Congress, and that the main theme of these talks will be just the protection of Serbian property in Kosovo.

– In the past 60 years Serbia has invested more than $ 17 billion in roads, energy and telecommunications infrastructure in Kosovo and Metohija – reminded Popovic, “by which has confirmed, during this period, the ownership of 80 per cent of infrastructure and industrial capacity.”

He stressed that “the right of ownership is absolutely inviolable in any democratic society in the world”.
