The Director of the Forum for Ethnic Relations, Dušan Janjić, assessed that it is quite clear, following the reasoning of the ruling in lawsuits for genocide of Bosnia and Herzegovina and Croatia (against Serbia), that eventual lawsuit of Kosovo could not pass.
“International Court (of Justice) adheres to strict definition of the genocide. Maybe it is conservative, maybe it’s not, but those conditions are not fulfilled in case of Kosovo, too,” assessed Janjic while commenting statement of the Deputy Foreign Minister of Kosovo, Petrit Selimi, who said that the issue of genocide and war reparations will be open sometime in future.
