The leader of the Civic Initiative ‘Srpska’ Vladeta Kostic said that decision on dismissal of Aleksandar Jablanovic is wrong.
“By doing so, the matrix has been set for any minister in the government, no matter is it Serb or Albanian, to be dismissed due to street protests. Thus, government is not showing the strength and responsibility. In my opinion, the decision is wrong and reaction should have been different,” said Kostic and added that the government had succumbed to pressure.
Kostic went on to say that source of instability is in huge social dissatisfaction of Albanians. “We hope that it won’t spill over to Serb-majority municipalities,” said Kostic, and reminded that it already happened before that Serbs ended up as a collateral damage of such dissatisfaction. “The root of all protests is in social instability,” said Kostic, and added that crisis in Kosovo is a deep one.
