Blerim Burjani writes that regain of the trust of Kosovo people currently appears to be impossible. However, he writes, if there is a political will of the current governing coalition and support of the opposition to draft a joint agenda for the benefit of Kosovo, a little hope could be returned. Not everything requires budget to reach a new consolidation of Kosovo, trust and institutional sustainability, he writes further. Burjani mentions several fields that require changes, starting from concrete measures against corruption, institutional nepotism, and impact of the political parties which often consider that they are “above the state.” He also considers that the Prime Minister should establish an independent commission in cooperation with the civil society, and international experts to test public and civilian servants. Burjani considers that consolidation of the University of Pristina and health care should also occur, and suggests advertisements of the positions for University employees as well as for the positions of the ambassadors of Kosovo. He is in favor of nomination of the members of different boards based on their professional criteria stressing that no one who has been member of a party during the last three years should be nominated as member of any board. Finally, he pays a special attention to the economic development of Kosovo and suggests constitutional and election reforms as well.
