The only candidate for the chief prosecutor of Kosovo, Aleksander Lumezi, stated in an interview for Zeri that all prosecutors should work with professionalism. He said that he does not believe on existence of clans within the prosecution system of Kosovo, however he admits that there were interferences from outside in the process of the candidature for the chief prosecutor of Kosovo.

“My message to all prosecutors of the country is to succeed in their work, to stick to the principals, the notion of dignity and professionalism. They should not allow influences from the other powers or certain names of authorities, whose interests are affected during the decision-making process. The prosecutors must also be released from any psychological impediment that they have towards certain individuals, because the time has come not to have any untouchable person in Kosovo,” said Lumezi.
