The principle of willingness should be the main condition for deployment of judges in Kosovo, however the question remains how many judges from Serbia would agree to be integrated into the Kosovo judicial system.
The president of the High Judicial Council of Serbia Dragomir Milojevic today said that judges cant’ be deployed into Kosovo courts against their own will and that the first criteria should be their good will, that they wish to be integrated into the Kosovo judiciary, whereas the final deal in relation to a relevant procedure has not been reached yet. He said to Tanjug that there shouldn’t be major problems with regards to deployment of judges considering that there are 74 judges under the administration of the Serbian judiciary in North Mitrovica.
He stressed that one should bear in mind that Serbian judges wouldn’t be transferred into a sort of international court, instead they are supposed to be integrated into the Kosovo judicial system.
The chairperson of the Chamber of Lawyers of Serbia Dragoljub Djordjeivc said to Tanjug that problems with the cadre in Kosovo and Meothija existed and in times of former Yugoslavia, and that problem is now multiplied due to non-recognition of the judicial bar exam and diplomas from certain universities.
