In the course of the preparations for a new round of political dialogue representatives of Serbia and Kosovo held separate meetings with the EU officials in Brussels last week, however the date of the next meeting of two prime ministers was not mentioned.
It was agreed that implementation of the agreement on judiciary, which was signed on 9 February should start by the end of March, whereas preparations are ongoing in regard to elements of future agreement on dissolution of the Civil Protection and its integration into Kosovo institutions within six months period. Only after the implementation of all of it and of previously reached agreements, talks about the Association/Community of Serb municipalities (A/CSM) in Kosovo will come to agenda, Minister without portfolio on the Kosovo government in charge for negotiations with Belgrade Edita Tahiri said to Danas.
Tahiri said that Pristina insists on “emergent removal of barricades on the bridge over the Ibar/Ibër River in Mitrovica in line with the trilateral agreement, reached in Brussels last year.” Maja Kocijancic, the spokeswoman of the EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, confirmed that the date of a new round of political dialogue between Belgrade and Pristina is not set, but she didn’t want to discuss about topics which should be negotiated between two prime ministers, Aleksandar Vucic and Isa Mustafa, during their next meeting.
Danas learned unofficially in the Serbian Government that the head of Office for Kosovo and Metohija Mrako Djuric took part in ‘’Brussels preparations’ last week. Paper’s source claim that Belgrade stood by topics it proposed earlier: A/CSM, property of Serbia in Kosovo and Metohija and status of Serbs in Kosovo institutions, while it will also prevent Pristina’s intentions that A/CSM is discussed in Brussels at the very end.
From the sources close to the government there are announcements that the meeting between the Serbian Prime Minister and representatives of the Serbian List, which had ‘frozen’ its participation in the government and Kosovo Assembly, could take place until the end of this week.
