EU High Representative for Foreign and Security Policy, Federica Mogherini should visit, end of March, Belgrade and Pristina, circles close to the Serbian government unofficially confirmed to Danas.
The source says that it is about a shuttle diplomacy of the EU which, among other things, will determine the date and theme of a new round of dialogue in Brussels between the premieres of Serbia and Kosovo, Aleksandar Vucic and Isa Mustafa. In Brussels yesterday, was not possible to officially confirm this information.
In Pristina announce that on the agenda, of the next meeting between Vucic and Mustafa, should be plan for the dissolution of the Civil Protection in northern Kosovo. Belgrade expects opening of the issue of Association/Community of Serbian municipalities UZSO) in Kosovo, although the condition of Pristina side is the fulfilment of all previous agreements, including the judiciary and the dissolution of all Serbian institutions for which they claim to be “parallel”.
– In Pristina, there are circles that fear from any political rights of Serbs. There is no reason for Albanians to fear from the ZSO, because it is not a threat to anyone; it does not intend to manage the affairs of Kosovo Albanians or to promote any other affairs than affairs of Serbs – said Marko Djuric, Head of the Office of the Government of Serbia for Kosovo and Metohija.
According to him, the ZSO aims to protect the rights of the Serbian people in Kosovo and to create political, economic and overall social conditions that will allow them to remain in Kosovo.
Djuric said that “the Serbian side is determined that the Community is formed according to the Brussels agreement, which aims to provide the Serbs’ collective and political rights.”
In anticipation of a new round of political dialogue, from Pristina are arriving notices that the non-Serb minority communities in Kosovo will ask the Constitutional Court of Kosovo to assess the constitutionality and legality of the agreement on justice, because it mentions only judges and prosecutors of Serbian and Albanian nationality. Illir Deda, from the Self-Determination Movement, told Koha Ditore that this agreement is “unconstitutional and discriminatory, because it predicts that only Serbs and Albanians can be judges and prosecutors in northern Kosovo.”
