Rexhepi: SHIK has usurped PDK and Kosovo institutions

(KTV)

Kosovo Intelligence Service (SHIK) has not usurped only PDK, but Kosovo institutions too, stated one of the PDK founders and the former Kosovo Prime Minister Bajram Rexhepi.

In an interview with KTV’s Rubicon show, Rexhepi erupted into accusations against Kadri Veseli and all other SHIK members that, according to him, have captured the state.

He said that SHIK structures have great influence in Post and Telecommunication of Kosovo, Trepça, regional water supply companies. It is believed that they also have extended their influence on Radio and Television of Kosovo, Rexhepi added.

Certain and confident about what he was stating, Bajram Rexhepi said that the great evil of his party happened the moment that Veseli became PDK’s deputy chairperson, although, according to him, Veseli even earlier had his influence on the party.

Rexhepi also spoke about 2014 March riots at the time that he was Prime Minister of Kosovo, stating that the groups of extreme Islam were also among the protesters, who provoked riots, and even shot with Kalashnikov guns.

Rexhepi said that PDK chairperson Hashim Thaçi is not on the same side with SHIK, while he announced that he will leave PDK the moment that Kadri Veseli will become its chairperson.

President does not rush with the decision for Chief Prosecutor

(KTV)

Kosovo President Atifete Jahjaga has not responded to the calls of Kosovo Prosecutorial Council (KPC) to take a decision about the Chief State Prosecutor.

In its last extraordinary meeting, KPC called on Jahjaga to decide about the person nominated for this post, in order for normality and work to return to this institution. However, President does not think of rushing up and she will likely wait until the end of the deadline to take a decision.

She was handed over the nomination for this post on 23 February and her Office said that they have 60-day legal deadline to decide about this matter.

Trajkovic: Decision for Jablanovic’s dismissal appropriate

(Klan Kosova)

Serb politician from Kosovo, Rada Trajkovic, considers the decision from Aleksandar Jablanovic’s dismissal was appropriate. Talking to Klan Kosova’s Infomagazine show, Trajkovic did not spare even foreign minister Hashim Thaçi or Prime Minister Isa Mustafa from her criticism.

Talking about the AAK leader, Ramush Haradinaj, Trajkovic said that he is hardly comprehendible, but he is a person who stands behind his words.

She called on Srpska List to return to Kosovo Assembly and vote in favour of the Special Court establishment.

Gecaj expects sooner return of Srpska List to institutions

(RTK2)

Deputy Minister of local government administration Bajram Gecaj said that he expects sooner return of Srpska List representatives to Kosovo Government and Assembly.

Gecaj told Radio Dukagjini that he is in continuous contacts with Srpska List representatives.

“I hope that next week we will have some positive steps in this regard, respectively to see their return and fulfilment of obligations that they took over the moment they sworn in,” Gecaj said.

Kosovo not a significant source of illegal narcotics

(Most monitored broadcasters, KTV)

The US State Department considers that Kosovo remains a transit country for drugs being transported to Europe, but it is not a significant source of illegal narcotics.

The report with this assessment on Kosovo was handed over to the US Congress. It also says that Kosovo is implementing national anti-drug strategy and five-year action plan aimed at reducing the offers and requests internal coordination and international partners.

The report notes that negative factors affecting Kosovo’s fight against drug trafficking are its geographical position along with traditional smuggling routes; incomplete integration of northern municipalities; poor economy; non-recognition by some of countries in the region and unproductive system of border management.
