President Jahjaga received a group of girls from Kosovo and Serbia (dailies)

The President of Kosovo, Atifete Jahjaga met on Thursday with young girls from Kosovo and Serbia, participating in the Peace Academy for Girls, and answered their questions on the role of women. Jahjaga commended the girls who are part of this platform of building bridges of cooperation and sustainable peace. Jahjaga said that girls and women are encouragers of peace and change in their communities, adding that this has been more than evident in the last decade when it were women who threw the first steps towards building bridges of understanding between Kosovo and Serbia. Jahjaga promised the girls that she will continue to offer her unsparing support by not allowing the daily politics to affect in the construction of mutual cooperation and the construction of a prosperous future for all citizens without distinction.

The Peace Academy for Girls is a project that aims to empower girls and their professional growth, to bring change both locally and internationally, to bring positive changes. This project is implemented by the organization Kvinna till Kvinna.
