Albanians not being allowed to reconstruct their houses at “Kroi i Vitakut”

(KTV)

It turns out that shaking of hands and the pledge made by Mitrovicë/Mitrovica south mayor Agim Bahtiri and Mitrovica/Mitrovicë north mayor Goran Rakic a month ago for solving the problem at “Kroi i Vitakut” neighbourhood was just momentary.

No matter that the two mayors said that the problem would be solved within weeks, more than a month has passed since the Albanians have not been allowed to continue with reconstruction of their houses.

Municipal councillor from Mitrovica/Mitrovicë north municipality, Emir Azemi, said that the agreement reached comes out to be unilateral and that the demographic structure is changing with it.

According to Azemi, the main obstacle comes from the local Serbs, but also the political staff led by the mayor of Mitrovica/Mitrovicë north Goran Rakic, who never made any efforts to publically state that Albanians should return to their land.

On the other hand, representative of “Kroi i Vitakut” neighbourhood, Nazmi Smajli, said that it the last chance for the Kosovo Government to step in this process and assist with funds for reconstruction of over 60 houses.

LDK MPs, who called for investigation of post-war crimes by this Court, said that they will in favour of its establishment.

Deputy Minister of Kosovo Government Branimir Stojanovic told Radio and Television of Serbia that the way that coalition will function and privatization in areas inhabited with Serbs have impacted on decision of Srpska List to return to Kosovo institutions.

Stojanovic said that there were no new conditions, but the same conditions that were agreed upon establishment of the governing coalition are in question. He underlined that all these conditions are still in power and that they were violated.

Constitutional Court’s President invited by the Special Prosecution

(Klan Kosova)

The Constitutional Court President Enver Hasani has left for Ankara, Turkey, while he was sent the invitation to show up at the Special Prosecution on Monday at 10:00hrs.

The Special Prosecution spokesperson Liridonë Kozmaqi did not confirm this invitation; however, she said that Special Prosecution has two open cases against the Constitutional Court President Enver Hasani. One case is related to the time when Hasani was the rector of University of Pristina, which, according to Kozmaqi, is in the final stage of investigation. Another case was filed recently, and it is related to Ombudsperson’s claims about falsification of signature of the international judge Robert Carolan.
