The Peace Park can be removed only when mayors from northern and southern parts of Mitrovica agree about it, says Marko Ðurić.
Ðurić said to journalists in North Mitrovica that Peace Park exists on the basis of the agreement reached in August last year, and that it can only be removed after mayors of northern and southern parts of Mitrovcia reach consent over it.
“In August last year, following unilateral removal of barricades, so called Zbogar’s three count plan was reached. First count is about the status quo at the bridge (nothing changes at the bridge and around it), and we accepted it at that moment in order not to bring into question the Peace Park,” said Đurić and added that this issue will be settled after mayors agree about the final solution about the main bridge over Ibar/Ibër River.
