After two months of boycott due to the shift of the Minister for return, Aleksandar Jablanovic, representatives of Serbs from yesterday again are active in Kosovo institutions. The first test for implementing agreed in the functioning of the ruling coalition will be to establish working bodies to create documents of the Community of Serbian municipalities.

Priorities of the Serb representatives are appreciation of the coalition partners and strengthening of the Serb presence in the judiciary, police and other aspects of management.

“As far as the practical steps and our representatives at all levels of government, it is something that will happen very quickly, from the appointment of deputies to members of the boards of the steering committees, where we have a legitimate right to delegate people,” says Vice President of the Kosovo government Branimir Stojanovic.

Although their activities were frozen, they say that they followed all the developments in institutions. An important question for the Serbian List is the privatization. Draft Law on Protection of Rights and registration of property is in parliamentary procedure.

The newly appointed minister for return, Dalibor Jevtic came on duty.

There was almost no return of Serbs in the first four months. Displaced from Djakovica/Gjakova still cannot visit the graves of their deceased nor the Orthodox Church in the city.

“I will speak to those who can make a contribution, and by that I mean the Kosovo government and the representatives of the international community, so they can all work together and contribute when it comes to Djakovica/Gjakova. And not just when it comes to Djakovica/Gjakova,” Jevtic notes.

For the return, among others, are interested Serbs from Mušutište and Suva Reka/Suhareke.
