Albanians fear that the formation of the Community of Serbian municipalities in Kosovo would mean autonomy with enormous powers for the Serbs in the north, including the division of the Province. On the other side such powers would not be possible if instead of Community would be formed Association of Kosovo municipalities.
Analyst Blerim Burjani says that “the North and the Kumanovo agreement may have something in common, because North was not a coincidence. “I doubt that a secret segment about that Community was included in the Kumanovo Agreement from 1999, because so far nothing is known about the Statute of the Association/Community, or about its final legal version. The idea of Serbia is to keep presence in Kosovo through the Association / Community,” he said.
Analyst Isa Mulaj says that Kosovo Serbs, especially those from the north have autonomy for many years, but as he pointed out, the problem is that now the Association / Community leads to its division.
