Direct discussions between Belgrade and Pristina on the Community/Association of Serbian municipalities (ZSO) in Kosovo will be on the agenda of the Brussels negotiations in a month’s time, Head of the EU Delegation to Serbia Michael Davenport has said.

“That is one of the key topics in the Brussels agreement, and the EU insists on its full implementation,” Davenport told TV Vojvodina on Monday.

There have been no direct talks between Belgrade and Pristina on the topic, he noted, adding that it is the role of the European Commission and the EU Delegation in Belgrade to back the efforts for direct discussions.

In the latest meeting that was held in April in Brussels, Serbia’s Prime Minister Aleksandar Vucic and Kosovo’s Prime Minister Isa Mustafa agreed to address the issue in a month’s time.

“Our role is to back all these efforts and ensure that both sides implement all these very important obligations,” Davenport said.
