In the presence of huge number of citizens, relatives and MPs a commemoration was held yesterday in Pristina to Kosovo Albanians killed in the action of Macedonian police in Kumanovo on 9 and 10 May.

Commemoration at the sports hall ‘1 October’ in Pristina was organized by the Association of the Kosovo Liberation Army in the presence of MPs from the ranks of the Democratic League of Kosovo of the Prime Minister Isa Mustafa and certain mayors from that party, MPs from Self-Determination movement and Alliance for the Future of Kosovo.

Homage to killed Kosovo Albanians was paid and by the imam of the mosque in Pristina Shefqet Krasniqi, who was recently arrested under suspicion for inciting extreme radicalism in Kosovo.

Uniformed men with the KLA insignia and with flags of the Republic of Albania in their hands stood in front of the coffins of eight Kosovo Albanians killed in Kumanovo. Uniforms with the KLA insignia were banned in 1999, following demilitarization and disbandment of the KLA.

Couple hours before the funeral, National Liberation Army announced that the “struggle won’t stop until national flag is not flown in all Albanian territories”, and further communicated that politicians from Macedonia and Kosovo responsible for the death of their members in Kumanovo will be punished.
