During the opening ceremony of the renovated building of the Archives of the Serbian Republic Geodetic Institute was said that within next 12 months all cadastral documentation in digital form will be handed over to Kosovo.

Cadastral documentation from Kosovo and Metohija has been in the possession of the Serbian Geodetic Institute RGA, and when it will be transferred to digital form, a copy of all these documents in digital and electronic form will be given to Pristina.

On the basis of the Brussels Treaty, Belgrade has taken over the obligation to make the transfer of all cadastral data from the territory of Kosovo and Metohija, said the State Secretary in the Ministry of Construction, Transport and Infrastructure, Aleksandra Damjanovic.

She said that the realization of this project is an important step in the cooperation between Belgrade and Pristina, stressing that it is important for Serbia’s progress towards EU accession. Representatives of Belgrade and Pristina on 2 September 2011 reached an agreement in Brussels on transfer of the cadastral data to Pristina.
