Ombudsperson considers Special Court as the hardest punch for Kosovo
(Most monitored broadcasters, TV21)

Establishment of the Special Court is the hardest punch that Kosovo got since the end of the conflict. All this, according to the Acting Ombudsperson Sami Kurteshi, is happening because of failure of justice in Kosovo. He considers that Special Court will infringe Kosovo’s sovereignty.

Kurteshi accused the Prishtinë/Pristina Basic Prosecution and qualified it as ‘the cradle of organized crime’.

“Kosovo judiciary system, including courts, prosecution and police has failed. It has not only failed, but it has turned into the cradle of organized crime, the prosecution in particular. Prishtinë/Pristina Basic Prosecution together with its Presidents is the cradle of organized crime,” Ombudsperson Kurteshi underlined.

Regarding the prolongation of the process for election of new Ombudsperson, Kurteshi said that political parties are competing between each other to bring their person at the head of the Ombudsperson’s Institution.

This was stated by the Kosovo minister of local government administration Ljubomir Maric.
