Turkish company KEDS is not entitled to the Gazivode hydropower plant, said the company to Vesti.
Service for distribution of electricity in Kosovo is owned by the Turkish company Calik Holding and Limak, and began to work in May 2013, when after the privatization, distribution and collection got separated from the Kosovo Energy Corporation – KEK.
“Our company is engaged in the distribution of electricity, maintenance of assets in the field and collection of electricity. We have nothing to do with the production. For these questions you will have to contact the KEK,” they said in the company in Pristina, denying information that appeared in the media that the company bought and paid Gazivode, and that they seek that it fully belong to them.
Negotiations on the ownership and management of the power station which last year made a profit of more than 10 million euros, and from which depends the power supply in northern Kosovo, Serbian Prime Minister Aleksandar Vucic marked as one of the most difficult topics.
Gazivode is part of the Ibar-Lepenac hydro-system and has not been part of any of the Brussels document.
