Minister for Communities and Return in the Kosovo government Dalibor Jevtić said to TV Pink that he will make efforts in providing all necessary conditions for those who wish to return and stressed that a process of return of 100 families, that is 583 individuals, is ongoing.

“When it comes to return there are problems in Klina municipality and there are incidents lately in Peć municipality, that is in Metohija region mostly, however despite everything we are continuing the process of return,” said Jevtić.

He went on to say that the Ministry’s budget was halved, thus they won’t be able to provide return of more than 700 of displaced persons who expressed the wish to return now. “It is not the figure we could be proud with,” said Jevtic, and added that following this pace some 20 years would be needed for the return of all who expressed their wish to return to their homes.
“As long as we face challenges, and there are many of them, devotion and persistence will help for having Serbs in Kosovo, and our goal is that we create conditions for the return of Serbs to Kosovo, and that they survive and stay here,” concluded Jevtić.
