Minister for Communities and Return in the Kosovo government, Dalibor Jevtić, said to RTK2 that he is worried about the current security situation in Peć/Peja region.

“There is obviously a certain sort of organization for destabilization of the situation in Goraždevac and places in Peć municipality populated by Serbs, aiming at intimidating them,” said Jevtic, and added that this is justified by everything that is happening lately in that region.

He went on to say that Serbs in Goraždevac are worried for their security following latest range of incidents and called relevant authorities to find perpetrators and bring them to justice since the situation has become alarming.

“This certainly warns and invites all relevant institutions to take preventive measures in order that situation don’t escalate,” said Jevtić, and commended Kosovo Police for setting the operation plan of activities.
