Serbs from village Goraždevac, Peć/Peja municipality, have requested protection from Kosovo institutions and international community following the latest incidents.

They fear that attacks in Goraždevac and returnee villages in Peć/Peja region are silently approved in order that remaining Serbs are frightened and leave Metohija region.

Mladen Stevanović from the same village says that there is no one to protect them. The attack on the Kosovo Police vehicle has additionally contributed to the anxiety amongst residents.

“I don’t feel safe at all…If they are attacking their police officers, what could we expect?” wanders Stevanović.

In family Zdravković from Goraždevac stressed that latest incidents could be a trigger for migration of Serbs from Goraždevac. “That is our opinion,” said in Zdravkovic family, and added that they fear for their kids in case of the escalation of incidents.
