Kosovo’s President, Atifete Jahjaga, met today in London with Britain’s Foreign Secretary, Philip Hammond, with whom she discussed Kosovo’s challenges, rule of law, extremist threats and Kosovo’s European future. Jahjaga said that Kosovo institutions believe in the principal of justice for all, and that she hopes that Kosovo will soon fulfill international obligations by voting for the establishment of the special court, in order to avoid a step that could be undertaken on this issue by the United Nations Security Council. In regards to the Pristina – Belgrade dialogue, Jahjaga said that Kosovo institutions are committed to the dialogue, but reiterated the importance of full implementation of all agreements reached. She said that Serbia continues to support illegal security structures in Kosovo, which according to the agreements, should be dismantled. Meanwhile, Hammond said that Kosovo needs to do its best to meet its international obligations and to establish the special court, to avoid processes in other international organizations.
