Minister for Communities and Return in the Kosovo government Dalibor Jevtić stated yesterday in village Osajane in Istok/Istog municipality that the set goal of return of around 700 displaced persons, until the end of the year, will be fulfilled.
“All houses that we constructed in last two and a half years are full, those are houses with newly born children, what is important for the future, whereas Osojane is an example of successful return and prove that return is possible when there is dedication and persistence,” said Jevtić.
“Return of 600 displaced persons is ongoing and until the end of the year we’ll fulfill the goal,” said Jevtić.
He went on to say that when it comes to those who wish to return, around 20.000 of them, financial and all other preconditions for their return should be provided in advance. In the contrary, if the return is carried out by the last year’s pace, 20 years would be needed for the return of all of them, which is unacceptable.
