Kosovo Armed Forces in the hands of Srpska List

(KTV)

The fall will also find Kosovo without an army, although more than two months have passed since the Government has processed constitutional amendments that open way to Kosovo Armed Forces (KAF) to the Assembly. Srpska List continues to state that it will not vote Kosovo Army with current proposals of the Government, while the opposition call on the ruling parties not to allow Belgrade to become the decision-maker in this process.

The Kosovo Army is in the hands of Srpska List. The Serb partner of LDK-PDK coalition, Srpska List, is not agreeing with the amendments proposed by the Government on Armed Forces, therefore they continue to say that they will not vote it as it is.

Contacted by KTV, the Serb Deputy Prime Minister of Kosovo, Branimir Stojanovic, said they are willing to continue talks with the coalition partners, LDK and PDK, but not to cast their vote in favour of amendments proposed in the Government.

The opposition parties say that Belgrade is decisive if Kosovo will have an army or not, as one such political framework has been constructed by the very Government of Kosovo.

Glauk Konjufca of Vetëvendosje says that KAF fate is depending on Srpska List, but the key blame for this lies with Hashim Thaçi.

On the other hand, AAK deputy chairperson Ahmet Isufi considers unacceptable the fact that Assembly’s spring session ended without having Kosovo’s future army in its agenda. Furthermore, he has no more hope that this year will be the year of the Kosovo’s Army.
