Investigators of EULEX mission have ended the investigation against Chief of Staff General Ljubisa Dikovic, the Police General Bratislav Dikic and former head of the Military Security Agency Momir Stojanovic.

They could be found on the indictments of the recently established Special Court for war crimes in Kosovo, as soon as it begins with its work, learns Nase novine from sources close to EULEX.

Serious accusations

How Nase novine learned from sources close to the EULEX investigative team, in the mission circles there is a belief that enough evidence has been collected in order to indict the recently deposed commander of the Gendarmerie Bratislav Dikic, Chief of Staff of the Army of Serbia Ljubisa Dikovic and Chairman of the Committee for the control of the security services in the Serbian Parliament Momir Stojanovic.

-Dikovic will be charged with the crimes in the villages of Rezala and Staro Cikatovo, as well as for hiding the bodies of civilians killed in mass grave in Raska, while Momir Stojanovic will be charged with “murder, deportation and persecution of Albanian civilians in 1998 and 1999”, when he was as Chief of Operations of the Command of the Pristina Corps of the Third Army of Serbia and Montenegro. The current assistant to Police Director in charge of the Special Unit Bratislav Dikic will be accused, allegedly, as a member of the Pristina Detachment of the special anti-terrorist units in 1998, of participating in crimes against civilians in Suva Reka/Suhareke, Klina/Kline and Pec/Peja – the source said.

A large number of investigations

The source added that these three senior officers of the army and the police are not the only ones with indictments, who at this moment are on important state functions.

-EULEX investigators have led investigations against dozens of police officers who were involved in crimes against Albanian civilians in Kosovo in 1998 and 1999. Some of these investigations proved to be unfounded, but against a dozen police officers, who are now active in the service, and some even in high places, sufficient evidence was collected to raise indictments – says the source, adding that all the material is ready and that they only wait for the official setting of the US Prosecutor David Schwendiman.
