Director of the Centre for Foreign Policy Aleksandra Joksimovic assessed, on the occasion of reaching an agreement in the negotiations between Belgrade and Pristina in Brussels, that this was the last moment for all to achieve a “win-win” situation. She also said that the agreements opened the door to Belgrade for negotiations with the EU.

“This is a victory for all sides in the negotiations,” Joksimovic said. She said that with certainty we can claim that in September such a decision would be made and the latest in December will be held an intergovernmental conference at which will be open certain chapters “likely Chapter 35, and possibly 23 and 24 “.

Joksimovic, however, pointed out that the question remains open as to how the agreement would be applied in the field, noting that the agreement on vehicle insurance, from July, was late with implementation.

She pointed out that it was early to talk about what is concretely achieved, because no one has yet seen what has been specifically agreed.

– This is a victory for all sides, because an agreement is here, and of course that all in the negotiating process will try to underline those points that are more favourable for them, compared to those where they had to make more compromises – said Joksimovic.
