Members of the so-called “Civilna Zastita” provided security during a Serb concert held two nights ago in Mitrovica North.
Guarding by this structure which functions in the north of Kosovo happened despite the reach of the agreement in Brussels for establishment of the Association of the municipalities with Serb majority, where one of its points stresses integration of the so-called “Civilna Zastita” members. On 1 September, 83 members of the so-called “Serbian Civil Protection” have started their work after several week’s training at the Security School for Public Security in Vushtrri/Vucitrn. Klan Kosova also quotes a source as saying that 83 members of “Civilna Zastita” are employed at the Emergencies Agency, established recently by four northern municipalities; then at two border points in the north as customs officers as well as at the prison in Mitrovica north, as guardians.
