Jahjaga: Without Albania, Kosovo would not be what it is today (dailies)
During her two-day visit to Tirana, Kosovo President Atifete Jahjaga addressed the Parliament of Albania where she spoke of relations between Kosovo and Albania and the challenges ahead. Jahjaga noted that without Albania, Kosovo would have never become what it is today. “Albania and Kosovo stand side by side as independent states, but conjoined in our common aim to become an inseparable part of united Europe and to find solutions to all our problems inherited during the historic process,” Jahjaga said.
Ymeri: Brussels Agreement divides energy system (Zeri/Koha Ditore)
The leader of the Vetevendosje Movement, Visar Ymeri, said yesterday that the agreement on energy reached between Pristina and Belgrade is dividing the energy system in two pieces and is granting Serbia ownership in Kosovo. According to him, the company being created by this agreement will not only be a supplying company, but will also be a company that offers distribution services and will be responsible for the balance of electricity. Ymeri said that the agreement on energy implies there will be new negotiations for ownership of energy assets in the north and on the issue of distribution.

Former Vetevendosje leader and current deputy at the Assembly of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, said in an interview for this daily that the Association of Serb majority municipalities is creating a para-state. According to him, Kosovo is being federalized by the Association. He said that the current government is serving mafia and its relatives. He informed that Vetevendosje will organize every day unpredictable and unstoppable activities against the Association of Serb majority municipalities. He called the Prime Minister a coward, adding that he would never undertake activity without major popular pressure. He warned that the opposition parties are working to mobilize people all over in Kosovo.
Dukagjini residents revolted by demarcation with Montenegro (Zeri)
The paper in a front-page story reports that the agreement on border demarcation with Montenegro has revolted the Albanian residents of the Dukagjini and Rugova areas, who warned that they would make armed barricades to protect their property. They have sent a message to the Kosovo government that they will not let tens of thousands of hectares of land be lost and in this regard they will organize and protect their property. Kosovo Assembly Speaker, Kadri Veseli participated at a debate on the European Union’s enlargement that is being held in Krynica, Poland. “The approach of the EU towards Balkans should change, by treating all the countries equally. Kosovo is determined to fulfill the agenda for EU integration not only as an institutional approach, but also as a desire, political intention and national interest,” Veseli said.
