Minister for Communities and Returns Dalibor Jevtic and Deputy Director of the Office for Kosovo and Metohija Dusan Kozarev visited yesterday displaced persons in the camp in Banjica.
Jevtic explained that displaced persons were mostly from the municipalities of Istok/Istog and Klina/Kline. He said that the conditions in which these people live for 12 years were bad and that it was necessary to offer a permanent solution.
“A permanent solution can be either return to Kosovo or if they decide to stay here to see how we can provide better conditions to them and this is precisely what we are working together with the Office for Kosovo and Metohija”, said Jevtic.
As explained Kozarev, one of the reasons for the visit to Banjica camp was to show that they remain committed to the implementation of everything that concerns the Skopje initiatives for a permanent solution to the issue of internally displaced persons.
