The circle of Montenegro’s official recognition of Kosovo’s independence, visit of Hashim Thaci to Podgorica, announced opening of embassy in Pristina and recently accomplished demarcation, will probably close with the support to Pristina’s membership in UNESCO.

Montenegro will take the stand with regard to it in the eve of the session taking into account of state’s so far policy when it comes to the region, stated Montenegro’s Foreign Minister Igor Luksic.

UNESCO’s Executive Board will discuss Kosovo’s membership request on 3 October, whereas Luksic’s stand indirectly stipulates that Podgorica will support Pristina’s request.

“The government that recognized all that refers to such entity will give the ‘green light’ to crime and culturocide against the Serbs and their cultural heritage,” said the chairperson of the New Serbian Democracy’s political council, Budimir Aleksic, and added that the similar scenario exists in Montenegro.
