The second day of the regional forum in Budva in Montenegro, which gathered representatives from Pistina, Belgrade, Podgorica and Skopje, was dedicated to finding solutions for displaced persons from Kosovo.

The forum was organized by the OSCE Mission in Kosovo and the UNHCR. The Head of the OSCE Mission in Kosovo Jean-Claude Schlumberger voiced hope that there will be permanent solution found to this issue and thanked technical working group on dedication and work in previous months.

Minister for Communities and Return in the Kosovo government Dalibor Jevtić said that there will be certain time limitations set for return of displaced persons from Kosovo, or for their integration in their current places of dwelling.

“Our goal is that persons who wish to return voluntarily to Kosovo, return in period of next three years and that all persons that wish to integrate in places where they currently dwell, are also provided with a sort of time frame,” said Jevtić.

The Director of the Serbian Government’s Office for Kosovo Marko Djuric said that Serbia is looking with lot of optimism on launching the initiatives with regard to finding solutions for displaced persons.
