The assembly of the Autonomous Province of Kosovo and Metohija (body which is not recognized by Serbian administration) has said in conclusions following its seventh session, held yesterday in Mitrovica North, that by signing the agreement on energy and telecommunications, along with the one on the telephone code for Kosovo, government of Aleksandar Vucic has abdicated in behalf of the independent state of Kosovo and thus betrayed national and state interest.

Conclusions further reads that reached agreement on the Association/Community of Serb municipalities, which will be created in line with the Constitution and laws of the independent Kosovo is the historical treason of Serbian nation no matter where they live. The document further brings that regime of Aleksandar Vucic, supported by Albanian political representatives who are allegedly not satisfied with reached agreement, are trying to present the defeat as a victory and place the responsibility for handing over Kosovo, on Serbs who live in Kosovo in order that they would easier integrate in the independent state of Kosovo.

The document further brings that by abolishing the institutions of the Republic of Serbia, which used to be the only guarantee of survival of Serbs in Kosovo, actual leadership is abolishing Serbian state and directly participating in creation of the independent state of Kosovo. Hypocrisy and irony is even bigger, reads the conclusion, because representatives of that very government have signed the Brussels Agreement, which beside other provisions provides that they won’t be preventing Kosovo from becoming a member of international organizations, and now they are allegedly waging diplomatic struggle against Kosovo’s membership in UNESCO.

In final remarks, the assembly of Autonomous Province of Kosovo and Metohija called on incumbent authorities to respect the core principles of the Serbian Constitution, valid laws, UNSC Resolution 1244, decisions of the Constitutional Court with regard to reached Brussels agreements, freely expressed will of people on the referendum held in 2012 and give up on further implementation of the Brussels Agreement, which presents serious threat to territorial integrity and preservation of Serbia and its statehood on the territory of the Autonomous Province of Kosovo and Metohija.
