Association/Community of Serb municipalities will be created until spring next year, said coordinator of the Kosovo government in dialogue with Belgrade Blerim Shala, and added that there is a majority in Kosovo for this and that government won’t fail on this test.

“It is about obligations which we signed for and we don’t have plan B. We have to carry it out as a government today, no matter who is in power,” replied Shala on Tanjug’s question whether the Kosovo government will succeed with creation of the A/CSM, or fail on this issue.

“A regulation should be brought by the Kosovo government in the first place, than it will be forwarded to the Constitutional Court which will assess whether it is in line with the Constitution. After that, we will have four months to draft the statute of the Association, that is, Community. Thus, if we take into consideration the entire procedure the A/CSM would be created only in the spring next year,” said Shala, and concluded that ‘we should not rush, these are all long-term processes from which normalization of relations depends, and in Kosovo, and between Kosovo and Serbia”.
