It is quite certain that the President of the Government of Serbia Aleksandar Vucic will attend a football match for the European Championship 2016 in Elbasan between the teams of Albania and Serbia, after the Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama “cancelled invitation” for Hashim Thaci, Danas learned in political sources close to the authorities in Pristina.
“At the moment for the Albania’s prime minister more important than policy is that match with the national team of Serbia pass without any incidents and that he follows the game in company with, previously announced, Aleksandar Vucic,” confirm the sources of Danas in Pristina.
The source said that Hashim Thaci definitely gave up from going to the football match in Elbasan, which is played on Thursday 8 October, and that “the Prime Minister Vucic already was informed from the cabinet of Albanian Prime Minister and it is up to him to decide about coming to the football game”.
Although he previously announced that he would certainly attend the Albania-Serbia football match, Vucic has postponed the decision after learning that Prime Minister Hashim Thaci could attend the match.
