The front-page editorial of this daily notes that it has become a routine to seek help from those that Kosovo politicians call with extreme servility “international friends,” every time that they face crisis. “The same is happening with Assembly blockade which is consequence of the abuse of the dialogue with Serbia, producing in this manner illegal, anti-constitutional and dangerous agreements for the stability and functionality of Kosovo… Incapability of the current political class to overcome the status-quo, means failure to keep a state. Kosovo should not be humiliated to this level and give arguments to the opponents of its independence. Unfortunately, these consequences were expected after the general institutional degradation, criminalization of the Assembly and Government, ruining of the justice system and widespread corruption.”

The question is, continues the editorial, whether we are capable of overcoming crisis without the help of the internationals. The state-building capability can be of course demonstrated with a positive will to accept the mistakes and to move forward. If the rival groups toughen their relations through accusations, violence, scandals, good days cannot be expected and it will not be a surprise to see again buses full of young people leave Kosovo. With the current manner of governing and extreme ignoring of the population, it will not be a surprise if someday only politicians remain in Kosovo.

Kosovo society should find the energy to sober up; progressive forces should lead the processes, leaving political mud behind. The Republic will be made, but not with these leaders and Mafiosi parties. Exit strategy is in our hands and the chance to rescue the democratic and legal state should not be lost,” concludes this editorial.
